NEMT is a Colorado Health First Medicaid benefit for individuals who don't have reliable means of getting to and from necessary, non-emergent medical treatment.
This includes rides for:
- primary care and specialist visits
- dialysis
- physical therapy
- mental health appointments
- outpatient procedures
- dental care
- other Medicaid-approved medical services
If you have Health First Colorado (Medicaid), you may qualify for NEMT coverage when traveling to a Medicaid-covered medical appointment. In general, NEMT should be able to be utilized if the service provider you are seeing is able to bill Medicaid.
A ride is typically covered if:
- the appointment itself is eligible for Medicaid coverage,
- you have no other way to get there,
- and you schedule the ride through the proper NEMT authorization channels
You can always call us at 970-777-7777 with coverage related questions. We can explain the process, schedule your ride, and help direct you to the right NEMT contacts if authorization is needed.
Yes. We offer ADA-accessible vans designed to support wheelchair users and those needing mobility assistance. Our drivers are trained in securement, mobility aid handling, and providing safe, attentive care throughout the ride.
